  1. 1.  You’re going to think I’m crazy when I say this... but the best way I know to stay sane and certain during the holidays is....don’t eat sugar! Yes, I know it sounds impossible, but once you get going it’s really not so bad and it’s sooooo calming through the Holidaze not to be strung out on all the sweets.   ~ LS. NevadaThe way I keep sane and certain during the holidays is to focus on my sister and my dearest friends. 8.  I would like to title my secret to sanity:  “The Power of Silence.”  Each late December night, after all the decorations are in place, sparkly, glitter, angels lit from within to filter their glow, and everyone in the house is sleeping deeply, I turn off all the lights, except the Christmas tree lights and sit in silence.  I have beautiful grateful, joyful Christmas music softly playing, and I listen to hear the voices of what Christmas is meant to be.  New life, new joy, new hope, new beginnings~star of certainty, manager of love, angels of guidance.  The voice of silence gives me energy to begin the next day with calmness, amid the hurried excitement and all that is yet to be prepared, places to go, and gifts to wrap.   ~ CS. California
  9.  I go to the mountains and walk among the large trees. I become present and calm as the sun reflects off the creek. I absorb the smells of nature as it rejuvenates and cleanses. I lay down in the sun on a blanket of pine needles and surrender to Creator, what does not serve me. And for awhile I become that, which I truly am.   ~ MH. Belgium
