Omi AI

This section describes how Mastering Alchemy INC (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use Omi, our AI chat companion embedded on Mastering Alchemy course pages (the “Omi Service”). It supplements our main Privacy Policy above. If anything here conflicts with the main Policy, this section applies to Omi.

What Omi Is
Omi is a conversational AI companion that helps you explore Mastering Alchemy teachings. It runs on Mastering Alchemy’s website and course platform and is available in free and paid plans, with different features and usage limits on each plan.

Information We Collect and Store
When you use Omi while signed in to your Mastering Alchemy / Thinkific account, we may collect and store:

Account and access

  • Your Thinkific user ID and/or email address (used to identify your account and connect Omi to your course enrollment)
  • Your plan level (free or paid) and when we last verified it
  • Usage counts (for example, how many messages you send per day and how many saved conversations you have), used to enforce plan limits

Your conversations (when you save them)

  • Chat messages you send and Omi’s replies
  • Conversation titles (auto-generated from your first message or renamed by you)
  • Dates and times of messages and conversations

Your preferences

  • Settings you choose in Omi, such as tone and Mastering Alchemy experience level

Paid-plan memory (paid users only) If you are on a paid plan, Omi can remember context across conversations to personalize future chats. We may store:

  • Memory instructions you provide (what you want Omi to remember)
  • A memory summary generated from your conversations (or edited by you)
  • When you last used Omi (to support memory updates)

We do not intentionally ask you to share passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive financial information in chat. Please do not enter that information in Omi.

What we do not store from sign-in your name, though it may be visible from your course login for display in the chat experience, but Omi’s database does not store your name as part of your saved Omi profile.

Browser session data
While you use Omi, your browser may temporarily store information needed to keep you signed in and resume your current conversation (for example, until you close the tab). This is not the same as the conversation history and preferences we store on our servers.

How We Use This Information
We use Omi-related information only to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Omi Service
  • Save conversations for your history to be available for continued conversation
  • Apply your preferences and (for paid users) your memory settings
  • Determine your plan and enforce fair-use limits
  • Generate replies and, where enabled, conversation titles and memory summaries
  • Protect the Service from abuse and maintain security

We do not use your Omi chats for advertising, sell your chat content, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Service Providers (How Information Is Shared)
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run Omi, with trusted providers who process data on our behalf and only for the purposes described here:

Provider / roleWhat is sharedWhy
Hosting & database (e.g. cloud infrastructure)Stored account, chat, preference, and memory dataSecure storage and operation of Omi
Google (Gemini AI)Your messages, conversation history sent with a request, preference and memory context (paid), and content needed to generate replies, titles, or memory summariesAI processing to power Omi
Thinkific / Mastering Alchemy Course PlatformUser ID and/or emailConfirm you are signed in and whether you have an active paid enrollment

These providers are required to use the information only to deliver the service to us, not for their own unrelated purposes.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer, consistent with our main Privacy Policy.

Free vs. Paid Plans

  • Free plan: Conversations can be saved up to your plan limit. Omi does not use cross-conversation memory for free accounts.
  • Paid plan: Includes higher limits and optional memory across conversations. Memory is stored in your Omi account until you change or delete it.

If your paid access ends, your Omi data remains stored, but Omi will treat you as a free user (including no longer applying paid memory in new chats) until you upgrade again or delete your data.

Your Choices and Controls
You can:

  • Update preferences anytime in Omi’s Preferences (tone, experience level, and—for paid users—”What I want Omi to know about me”).
  • Rename or delete individual conversations from the conversation list.
  • Edit or clear memory instructions and the memory summary (paid users) in Preferences.
  • Delete all Omi data using “Delete all my data” in Preferences. This permanently removes your saved conversations, memory, and Omi preferences from our systems. It does not delete your Mastering Alchemy course account, purchases, or login (Thinkific); you can continue using Omi with a fresh start.

To request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights related to Omi, contact us at service@masteringalchemy.com, as described in our main Privacy Policy.

Retention
We keep Omi data for as long as your account uses the Service or as needed to provide it, unless you delete it (for example via “Delete all my data”) or we are required to retain it by law.

Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Omi data. No online service can guarantee absolute security; please use Omi as you would any online tool and avoid sharing information you are not comfortable storing.

Changes
We may update this Omi section from time to time. Material changes will be posted on our Privacy Policy page in line with our main Privacy Policy.
